Classes Starting in March and April

We have two classes scheduled starting soon! Get some new skills before the warm spring weather comes!

Tune-Up Class
March 26th & April 2nd
Sunday evenings 6-9pm

Our two-part bicycle tune-up classes are taught by Tzippy. This class will introduce you to basic bicycle maintenance. We’ll cover tool and component terminology, fixing a flat, chain maintenance, brake pad replacement, and basic shifting adjustments. We’ll also provide some tips for getting through the winter! Costs $75 or $95 with shirt and poster.

Overhaul Class
April 2nd – May 7th
Sunday afternoons 2-5pm

Our six-week overhaul class taught by Froilan. You’ll learn how to disassemble, reassemble, and adjust each major mechanical system of your bicycle week-by-week. Costs $180 or $200 with shirt and poster.

Energy Efficiency: Ways to Save Now by Making Common Sense Changes at Home
With new smart meters being installed in your community, you can now take control of your energy use and potentially save money. To uncover these and other savings, local non-profit Elevate Energy is helping homeowners and renters in the area make smart choices about energy.

Pedal Power at Standing Rock
Hear a brief report from folks who visited Standing Rock and watch a video on their use of bike power. The video feature cameos of our very own Tzippy and Jerry!

Environmental Activism and Criminalization
Geoff Hing will offer a presentation on the intersection between environmental activism and criminalization and the increase in law enforcement powers. We’re looking forward to it!
